If you have a TON of wigs like I do, you might be wondering how you can attractively store them.
Since one of my resolutions is to get organized, this is what I've been working on!
I've been searching all over Pinterest to find something that I LOVED, but nothing seemed to suit my needs and the look I wanted. I'm currently making a section of my bedroom an all-purpose, girly-girl makeup and beauty section. My sister suggested shoe boxes, but that's just boring. I thought about hanging them on the wall like one pin suggested, but it seemed a little tacky? Overwhelming? I'm not sure.... it just wasn't perfect for me.
So I ran through the dollar store, picked out some pretty tissue paper, a candle holder, and went to work!
styrofoam mannequin head
tissue paper, wrapping paper, fabric, lace, whatever you love!
Step 1: Making the base
I want mine to be all out GLAM, so instead of setting them on dowels like I originally planned, I found some pretty crystal-looking candlestick holders.
Line the hole in the bottom of the head up with the top of the candlestick holder, and trace it with a pen.
Then you're going up take a knife and just cut out that section so that your candlestick will fit into it!
Step 2: Applying the paper
This next part is fun! I recommend doing it on a protected surface, but as you can see, I'm not a rule follower. Just one suggestion: don't wear your favorite LuLaRoe leggings. I hope that drop doesn't stain too bad!
You're just going to cut or rip strips of tissue paper, and smooth them over a glued surface. Once you're done, add another layer of glue.
I will update this when it's fully finished so you can see the finished product!
