It's....ME! (Read more!)
Today marks a very important day for me. I have officially lost 50 pounds, and I'm now under 200 pounds!
First, I posted on Facebook. Then.... I knew that I needed to share it here too!
I want to walk you through my journey! Complete with lots and lots of pictures! (Thanks Myspace!)
Here's a little idea of how "healthy" my life has been...
After dealing with sexual abuse in the Navy, I turned to alcohol. And turned, and turned, and just kept turning.
I did meet someone while I was serving, and gave birth to his daughter (Lillian, who is now 6). We were pretty unhealthy, too. His idea of a "good meal" would be a hearty burger, complete only if filled with blue cheese and mushrooms, and larger than my fist.
This led to a lot of weight gain with my first pregnancy, but I was still small enough that I felt good about myself.
My second pregnancy, I gained A LOT.
By the end of my pregnancy, I had health complications and weighed almost 250 pounds.
