The owners said he was a Pomsky- you know, half husky and half pomeranian. This, by the way, ended up being a total lie. If I hadn't totally fallen in love with this little puff of fur, I'd be pretty upset!
So anyways.... he's an itty bitty dog. Not the half-husky size I was expecting. He weighs just about the same as my 6 month old baby person! ;-P
And you know what itty bitty dogs do?
Want to go outside? -Bark
Someone running down the street? -Bark
You heard a butterfly land on a branch? -Bark
Hubby over here is getting pretty upset... and INSISTS on getting a bark collar. I protest. I groan. I moan. And then... I find something that I honestly assume would be a POS, but hey, for the cost? Let's give it a try. And I have to tell you!!!!
After ONE day of wearing this HUMANE anti-bark collar, he isn't barking AT ALL. He still alerts us with a low hum/growl if he wants, but he's not constantly barking over every little thing all day long.
And when I say humane, I mean I put this full force, put it on my cheek, and let it go. It doesn't hurt. It vibrates- like a massager- and it beeps. THAT'S ALL!
So if you're thinking about buying a shock collar for your problematic singing dog, this is where you want to go. FOR REAL. It works- and FAST. It's inexpensive. It's harmless. It's AMAZING!
- alIf you're curious about what else we got:
The dog puzzle we got to help him have a "job" to do, and get rid of some of his boredom. For the first few days, he wanted to eat ALL of his meals out of it, he loved it so much! He still uses it, but the joy has died down a little bit.
The leash was is so nice! It's leather, and they sent a card with it, too, telling us to register the leash for a free gift. I haven't gotten that yet, so I can't tell you what it is. We got the leash for 4H, since Snowflake is a 4H dog now. It was too thick for her little hands, so we did end up going with this one instead. Both are very nice. The second one we got was a lot easier for her to handle.
Martingale collar- also for 4H activities. I haven't ever used a martingale collar, so I can't compare it to anything but itself. He pulls less than with a regular leash, I like it.
