Day 2 of "Lockdown." It isn't a total lockdown, my husband still has to go to work, and there are really no restrictions on travel or shopping, with the exception that a ton of things are closed and non-essential workers must work from home if able, or not work. Since my husband is a roofer, and that is construction, he is considered an essential worker.
Oh boy. Isn't homeschooling fun. We are still getting used to a routine. I started a journal for her where I write all of the daily tasks for her to do . Sometimes, it is hard. Sometimes, I will tell her to do her work, I'll walk away to unload the dishwasher or something, turn around, and she's snuck on the Xbox. Starting tomorrow, the Xbox controller will magically disappear until her schoolwork is done.
I never imagined I would be a homeschool mom, but I'm enjoying the one on one time helping her learn. Rumor has it that we won't go back to school until September. I guess that's enough time to adjust to this new life. HAH. Trumpet lessons are proving to be a bit harder... you know, since I don't play the thing.
What I Got Done Today
Today, I tried to fix a broken dresser--fail.
I went out to the bard and mapped out how my chicken coop and run will be set up. I'm excited to be able to share with you what I get done there. Hopefully the weather is warm enough sooner rather than later, so I can get these birds out of my basement! LOL
