I know this post isn't for everyone, and it will talk about some more personal things. If this isn't the type of blog you like to read, go ahead and skip over it. I did want to write about this, however, since it needs to be talked about.
I have had all the tests: Lupus, lyme, thyroid, tests I can't even remember the names of. But what if my symptoms are coming from a medicine that I take daily, without even a thought about it?
I noticed my first spot when I was 9 months pregnant, and it pretty much stayed there with no growth or loss for a few months. A few months later (which was when I had the mirena implanted), is when my hair started to fall out pretty rapidly. I didn't put it together until the other day, when I randomly decided to Google "mirena and alopeica."

I am a firm believer in controlling the INSIDE of your body in order to see the OUTSIDE affected. What you put on the inside of your body is bound to help you control symptoms of greater things, whether it be Alopecia, or anything else. I've focused primarily on nutrition to help me with this, but what if I'm only healing half-way? What if the hormones I'm using don't mesh well with my insides?
Today, I am actually having the mirena removed. I will keep you updated to let you know how this goes. It's pretty disappointing to me, I love not having a monthly, and I love not having to remember to take a pill (I suck at remembering pills!), but the no libido thing isn't fun, and if this hair loss has to do with it, well, that's no good either!
After I have it removed, I'm doing a detox of my body as well :) If you'd like to join me in this, let me know!
